Guangzhou Medical University Teaching Plan of Clinical Medicinefor International Students
Ⅰ.Goal of Training:
According to the training goal for the undergraduate medical students in China, and the international demands as well as the needs of the international students’ countries, we shall educate and train them into qualified professionals who can do clinical, teaching and research work in medical care institutions.
Ⅱ.Basic Requirements
Students should:
1. Have a deep love for medicine, have good occupational morality.
2. Have a scientific attitude, Have the ability to communicate with the patients and their relations, take the initiative in asking for assistance and advice of senior doctors when there are any medical cases they are not able to handle.
3. Have the legal concept to practice medicine, learn how to use the law to protect the patients and your own rights，have the spirit of team work.
4. Respect everyone and their religions, and understand their background of all cultural activities in human society.
5. Have a basic knowledge of human studies and natural sciences.
6. Have a good command of the basic knowledge, theory and techniques of Basic Medicine and Clinical Medicine.
7. Have basic ability to diagnose and treat emergency, and difficult and serious cases.
8. Have a basic knowledge of Preventive Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine.
9. Have the basic methods of computer applications and statistical information inquiry.
10. Have a basic command of the Chinese language, be prepared to learn about the Chinese culture and understand the general situation of China.

Ⅵ.Permance Evaluation, graduation requirement
1. Permance Evaluation：The courses should be assessed .
2.Status Management: According to Guangzhou Medical University Undergraduates International Students Status Management Regulation
3.Graduation Requirement：On completing the requirements of the teaching program ,Students should complete at least 225credits ,including required subjects 167credits , selective subjects 8 credits ，graduation internship 48 credits and Graduation Examination 2 credits,and passing the graduation examination successfully ,international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by GMU.
